"13th and 14th November 2009:
The IEEE Student branch of HIT, in association with HIT-OSUM(Open Source University Meetup) is hosting a national level fest on 13th and 14th November, with a focus on Open Source Platforms and FOSS (Free and Open Source Softwares)."
The events include:
An Open Solaris Install Fest, where the students would be demonstarted how to install Open Solaris Operating System on their computers step by step and free Open Solaris 10 live CD's would be distributed to the participants.
An Open Source Quiz Competition
A C/Java coding Contest (using GCC Compiler), and
A seminar on Open Solaris OS by Mr. Abhishek Kumar, an Opensolaris evangelist and expert from Sun Microsystems.
